Do you move furniture?

Yes furniture will be moved and replaced on to protective pads. However we do not move large items such as book cases and glass display units. We do not move musical instruments such as pianos and we do not disconnect TV/Audio units.

How long does it take for my carpets/upholstery to dry?

Pure wool carpets can take up to six hours to dry however most carpets that are constructed from wool/synthetic mix will be dry within an hour. Polypropylene carpets will be dry by the time we leave. Upholstery can take up to twenty four hours depending on the fabric and backing.

Are the cleaning solutions safe to the environment and also safe for my pets and children?

All our major cleaning solutions are safe to the environment and for your pets and children. However there are certain specialist solutions that we use for the treatment of say MRSA or HIV that are hazardous to health.

Can you remove all stains?

No. Some stains will be permanent and any cleaning company that tells you that they can remove all stains from all carpets are either liars or are untrained.

Do carpets shrink?

Carpets constructed with polypropylene fibres woven onto a jute backing will shrink if they are wet cleaned. We always test carpets before cleaning them and will advise you as to any risk that may be involved.

What do I need to do to prepare for your visit?

We would ask that you move all small items from the room to be cleaned, such as lamps, ornaments on tables, flowers, etc.

Can I use the room after you have cleaned it?

Yes we will give you overshoes to use while the carpets are drying.

Do I need to arrange parking?

It would be helpful if you could try to arrange a parking space near to the area to be cleaned. We run pipes from the van and for us the nearer the van is to the cleaning area the better.

Do I need to keep animals and children out of the way when you are cleaning?

We are committed to working within a safe environment and would ask where possible that all pets and children are kept away from the cleaning operation.

Do you need hot water and electricity?

Yes.

How and when do I pay?

Cash or cheque at the end of a satisfactory clean.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured for third party liability up to £5,000,000.

What checks are carried out on your staff?

We are a family business and only employ members of our family. We have all been CRB checked and these certificates can be viewed by any customer.

What experience have you got?

Adam, our Managing Director (Dad) has been involved in the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning business, on and off, for over thirty years. Lewis (son in law) has four years experience as has Holly (daughter) and Jean (Mum).
